[NEWS] Xubuntu 13.04 Released

Xubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail has been released!

The main changes are:

  • Gnumeric and GIMP are reintroduced on the ISO
  • New application versions: Catfish 0.6.3 and Parole 0.5.0 with many bug fixes
  • Updates for the Greybird theme and a new wallpaper
  • Duplicate partitions are no longer shown on desktop or Thunar
  • Updated documentation

Xubuntu 13.04 can be downloaded here. You'll need a USB device or a DVD in order to install.

    3. @Starkiller, I've been busy so I haven't tried it yet. But my guess is that I'll replace 12.10 with 13.04. Be sure that I'll write if something worth of noting exists.

  3. I am sure I will update eventually. Usually a full upgrade comes with it's share of headaches, I 've never had a seamless full upgrade. I usually hold off until some other people try it out first and post their issues

    1. Yes, I'm of the same opinion.
      I've got Xubuntu 12.10 set up to perfection on my desktop machine, I don't want to do anything to upset that.
      If I lived with Ubuntu 10.04 up until installing Xubuntu 12.10 a few months ago- I think I will just leave well enough alone for the moment.
      OTOH, I may try it on my laptop as it is my "experiment with" system...:-)
