When a user logs in, the desktop environment starts do load the necessary resources to provide its functionality. Some of this process is configurable by the user. For instance, the user can choose which applications will be run when the session is loaded.

Hi.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this article, it is useful.
However, I would like to know how to find the command you need for an application. For exemple I want to have yakuake at startup, what command do I put in ? And how do I know for other applications ?
Thanks
You can use "alacarte" to edit and see which command is used by the application.
DeleteThanks for the tip. I added guake to my startup session :-)
